ENSEMBLE IN RESIDENCE

For this concert, we present a glittering array of concertos by Vivaldi, including Summer from the Seasons, with paired paintings and animations by Margaret River Independent School students.

With thanks to the DLGSC and Lotterywest Creative Communities COVID-19 Recovery Program, Margaret River HEART and Margaret River Independent School welcomed Australian Baroque and artist Rachel Wyder as artists in residence.

Throughout this residency, students have sketched and painted in response to Vivaldi’s works. Together we have explored the 17th and 18th century notions of affect and taste as well as the relationships between art and music.
